What excitement regarding my first effort at using the new features on the Blog. It was partially successful, but I never got it to update Facebook, so I had to do that myself by copy pasting…. but on to new experiences today!
I thought I would speak about the Media Hype that constantly focuses on Beauty and Perfection these days, and the harm and dissatisfaction that this perception causes to so many people around the world.
I had a friend, once long ago, who was physically lovely to look at but who gauged every aspect of her life on “beauty” and never seemed to look for any value in the ordinary everyday people.
Lets be honest – there are very many more ordinary people around than the “chosen few” who grab the limelight.
Over the years of keeping in touch I slowly grew to understand that I certainly didn’t fit into her perfect niche, and eventually faded out of the picture.
The term, beauty is only skin deep, is so true. The aging process seems to level the playing field over time, but while the face and figure are at their best, people seem to feel that they have to promote themselves and claim as much attention, adulation and monetary value from their looks as possible.
But I am certainly not implying that all beautiful people are the same, in fact I know that there are millions of you beautiful people out there who are perfectly normal in every way!
I have been following a true life drama over the past 2 years. It started off as a search for two missing children in America, JJ Vallow and Tylee Ryan whose grandparents, Kay and Larry Woodcock had asked the authorities to do a welfare check on JJ, as they had not heard from him for some time.
On delving into this story I found out that the mother, Lori Vallow, was once a runner up in the Mrs Texas Beauty Pageant Contest.
As this horrific story unfolded over the ensuing years, it becomes patently obvious that she used her all American good looks to attract a variety of people into her inner circle, has been married 5 times and is part of a break-away section of the LDS church and has strange beliefs.
She has definitely been involved in the conspiracy to murder her 4th husband, her brother, both her darling children as well as conspiring to murder her 5th husband’s wife.
While following the story it is sickening to see how she was able to dupe the gullible police officers and the public in the early stages. No one could credit that this beautiful woman could ever have been involved in these dastardly acts. I can assure you that looks played a major factor in this sad story.
I am enclosing a link to a video done on YouTube by East Coast Idaho. Nat Eaton, a reporter from Rexburg, Idoha, has been doing an amazing job at covering this ongoing saga, and is responsible for thi video and gives a very good oversight on what has transpired.
Please take a look at it if this is something that might appeal to you.
I met a large brown mother moth on the stairs this morning. On getting down on my hands and knees to pick her up to so that she could get away, I noticed a clutch of eggs lying next to her. So very sad that tomorrow they will be vacuumed up by Petros when he goes about his normal duties.
She was sent on her way and I hope that she finds a safer place to lay her next clutch of egg
